Y9 Netball Tournament – 30/9/25
The Year 9 Clyst Vale netball team took part in their first fixture of the season on Tuesday evening, captained superbly by Connie S. The girls worked hard throughout the day and represented Clyst Vale brilliantly.
We began strongly with a 9–6 victory over Isca, with Connie named Player of the Match for her excellent performance.
Our second fixture was a hard-fought 7–7 draw, where Daisy impressed in Wing Defence and earned Player of the Match.
In the third game, the team narrowly lost 5–4, but Daisy stood out again being named Player of the Match by St Peters.
The girls bounced back in their fourth game, securing a 7–4 win against West Exe, with Connie once more recognised as Player of the Match.
The final match against Exmouth was closely contested but ended in a 5–3 defeat.
Emily C-C was deservedly awarded Player of the Match for her accurate shooting as Goal Attack.
A special thanks goes to Lila and Emily G from Year 8, who stepped up to strengthen the team and played superbly.
Connie controlled the play from Centre and ran the game effectively, showing excellent leadership throughout.
Overall, the team finished a fantastic 3rd place in the tournament – a brilliant result for their opening fixture of the year.
Well done to everyone involved!
