Harry Patch Day 2024
Friday 22nd September was Mr Harry Patch’s special remembrance day. This date marks the day in 1917 when his three best friends were killed and he was badly wounded.
We always raise money on Harry Patch Day for the RNLI. This was his favourite charity. This year’s cake sale was our best ever. We have some star bakers in year 12 and 13 and this year they pulled out all the stops. The cake sale raised a grand total of £237.70 which is amazing!
Many thanks to all of the wonderful students in years 12 and 13 who worked so hard to make this day such a success.
They also put in a special effort and “dressed up smart” for Mr Patch. Sue Voysey not only helped with the baking but also helped with the promotion of the event.
