Kooth Mental Health Support
Want to boost your child’s mental wellbeing over the summer and spend less time on their phone?
Take a look at Kooth’s “Go Somewhere Good” campaign.
Go Somewhere Good – Explore Kooth
This summer, Kooth is sharing inspiring ideas of good places and things to do over the holiday that are free and have been sourced from young people across the UK. Anyone who votes for their favourite idea will get the chance to win a prize that might give them an alternative to “doom-scrolling” – prizes include skateboards, frisbees, and £50 book vouchers.
Kooth is an NHS-commissioned, free, and anonymous digital mental health service available during the school holidays and all year round. We’re a good place to go for students, offering a safe space for them to share what might be worrying them. We support young people however big or small their issue is, from loneliness, family or friendship issues, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts. Plus, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
The following are available to Clyst Vale Community College students and parents:
- Live-streamed KoothKlass webinars, running this week to remind your students about the support we offer when schools shut for summer.
- Learning resources for a debate in the classroom, encouraging students to explore activity ideas and discuss online safety.
- Useful tips and advice for parents on how to support their child’s mental wellbeing over the holidays.
Encourage your students to #GoSomewhereGood and help them consider healthy wellbeing habits over the holidays. Visit our website to discover more about the campaign and how you can take part.
