DofE Gold in the Baking Brecon Beacons

The students and staff on the DofE Gold Expedition complete their journey today (Friday) and return to Devon. The first two days were extremely hot, around 38 degrees. This made a difficult challenge just a little more difficult – to avoid the worst of the heat, students were up at 04.30 ! My colleagues are incredibly experienced, so adjusted routes and regularly provided water at various checkpoints. We’re really proud of them all, and a bit in awe: a four day expedition with 3 nights’ wild camping……..
