Clyst Vale Carol Service
Whimple Church kindly hosted the Clyst Vale carol service this year, on the evening of Wednesday 15th December. Over 50 students, along with Performing Arts colleagues, worked really hard to stage our traditional show.
The programme was a mixture of traditional congregational carols, music pieces from individual performers and the Jazz Band, Bible readings, poems, and dramatic excerpts from ‘Cider with Rosie’ – featuring a special guest appearance from Dr Bawn himself, as ‘the squire’!
Over £90 was raised in the retiring collection for St Petrock’s, Exeter.
With thanks to all involved, and special mentions to Rev Marc Kerslake of the Clyst Mission Community, and John Maybery, the organist.
This was a very special evening which created a wonderful festive feel. Well done to all the talented musicians, readers and actors involved. And a very merry Christmas to everyone!
