Harry Patch Peace Garden Opened
Through the personal and professional passion of Mrs Padden to remember Harry Patch and his wish that the First World War never be forgotten, at Clyst Vale we celebrate Harry Patch Day every year.
This year’s Harry Patch Day was very special, as it was the hundredth anniversary of the night in 1917 when Harry was wounded and his mates killed at Passchendaele, a day which became his personal remembrance day.
Supported by students, colleagues, local businesses and friends of the College, Mrs Padden has established a Peace Garden in Harry’s memory. There will be a much more detailed report and photos to come!
