Launch of Employability Challenge Award
Clyst Vale has been fortunate enough to be selected as one of only two school sixth forms to take part in a pilot of this new award scheme run by the Exeter & The Heart of England Employment & Skills Board. Year 12 student, Bradley Lavis (pictured left), won the competition to produce a logo for the award and has been working with a local communications company on the design. Students lucky enough to be selected for the award will have mentors from local employers, such as Waitrose and Interserve, working with them and carrying out an evidence-based employability assessment. The deadline for applications is the end of January.
