Bridging the Gap

All year 12 students attended a ‘Bridging the Gap’ session on Wednesday 19 September which looked at staff expectations of a Post 16 student, Study Skills, Independent Research and Self Study. They were given some practical ideas to support their learning which we hope to see put in practice.

They also began their enrichment sessions this week. They took part in various activities including cooking tasty wraps, learning the art of Self Defence with an instructor from Exeter Martial Arts, debating topical issues and  sporting activities.

Year 13 university applicants have started the on-line process. Those looking for employment were given some valuable advice on interview techniques by Cathy Durston who is one of our Governors. She has a wealth of experience in this area through her work at the Met Office, so we were very grateful for her help.
